WGMA’s August Houston Membership meeting was packed, to hear U.S. Coast Guard Captain Keith Donohue, Commanding Officer of Sector Houston-Galveston, speaking about all the activities happening along the Houston Ship Channel, the largest port in North America, as well as increasing business in our neighboring ports of Beaumont, Port Arthur, Freeport and Lake Charles. Afterwards, Captain Donohue honored the crew of the harbor tug GEORGE M, owned by Bay-Houston Towing and operated by G&H Towing, for their lifesaving efforts when the towboat MISS PEGGY sank after a collision, on July 24th. It was a great meeting!
